Michelle Gannon was born 22nd December 1977 in The Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham. She is the only daughter to Teresa and Paul Gannon and has one brother. Michelle grew up in Bartley Green till the tender age of 7 and then moved to Halesowen where she saw out the rest of her school days and still lives there to this day.

Michelle was always interested in writing, drawing and poetry and even as a child would make up short stories and illustrations. Her biggest influence and favourite author is Roald Dahl. She said that a lot of her ideas and characters have been influenced by reading Roald Dahl.

Michelle began writing the book on her second hand computer which had nothing but a word programme on it. The computer was so out of date that she could not even get the internet on it so hence she decided to use the computer to write a book instead. The book was left for a number of years and was returned to by accident as Michelle found the disc and papers to which were lying about at the time that she moved out of home.

It was from the encouragement from friends and family that Michelle decided to continue and finish her book and later get it published with the financial support of her partner Emlyn Dudson. Since the book has been published, it has grown from strength to strength and the feedback from the children who have read the book has been extremely positive. There has even been questioning regarding another book. Well all we can say is.....watch this space.
